Gadgets for gauging gait or quantifying one’s quota of exercise may add value to the worker experience — and three speakers are prepared to demonstrate how in a web seminar at 2 p.m. Eastern on Aug. 22.
Chris Dancy, called the “mindful cyborg” and “most connected human on Earth"; Shana Pack of the University of Virginia’s wellness program; and Shawn Moore, senior vice president of consumer engagement and wellness for ActiveHealth Management will speak to the wisdom of turning wearable tech to companies’ advantage.
The trio will address questions relating to proper device selection, establishing parameters for use, and achieving the most benefit possible from the interactive investment.
Managers, editors and speakers will present on ways that “wearables” can increase employee engagement; explain how entrepreneurs can motivate staff by including wearable tech in wellness programs, and relate evidence of the effects of using the gear.
The webinar will be hosted by Employee Benefit News & Employee Benefit Adviser (EBN/EBA), providing online business growth and development tools and industry events; EBN/EBA’s contributing editor Lynn Gresham will serve as moderator.
