A Westchester County, New York residential facility seeks a qualified high school graduate with one year’s office experience to join the staff as an HR assistant for administrative, payroll, customer service and resident care assistance.
Requirements include typing (55 wpm), computer programs (Excel, Word), telephone skills and clerical abilities. The Children’s Village prefers an individual with outstanding interpersonal, organizational and communication abilities who can multitask and share duties as needed.
The HR assistant will greet visitors, answer phone calls and maintain files; help with recruitment paperwork, onboarding material and event planning; cover team members’ tasks when necessary, and be pro-active in promoting safety at all times, reporting noncompliance to correct risks.
The successful candidate will also perform background checks, schedule open house attendance and interviews; oversee referrals, and assist with consultant agreements. He or she will support colleagues and assist with both HR department needs and day-to-day caretaking needs.
