For outstanding implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) using Tyler Technologies’ branded software, the city of Turlock, California garnered the 2017 Tyler Public Sector Excellence Award at a recent national conference in San Antonio, Texas.
ERP is a type of process management software that lets a business use integrated applications for management and automation of technology, services and human resources functions.
The Excellence Awards, presented May 7 at the industry’s annual “Connect” conference, represents a jurisdiction’s achievements in business value, maturity and innovation as well as its bearing on other public entities. Additionally, it may reflect employee empowerment, staff productivity, measurable savings solutions or an original process of benefit to other organizations.
Tyler’s New World brand of ERP enabled Turlock to seamlessly integrate operations while phasing out obsolete software; the municipality also took advantage of the opportunity to review permit procedures and implement new standards to simplify data management.
The city of Turlock installed the company’s complete New World ERP suite offering, consisting of financial management, human resources, utility management and community development, according to Tyler Technologies.
Tyler Technologies is based in Plano, Texas. It ranks as the nation’s largest software provider focused on integrated software and technology solutions in the public sector — including cities, counties, states and school districts.
