Global tax consulting firm BDO seeks an STS compensation and benefits manager to oversee consulting for executive compensation at its downtown Chicago location.
The STS manager is responsible for leading and implementing compensation and strategic services projects for the company’s clients related to board governance, strategic planning and leadership succession as well as basic executive compensation packaging, using research skills to develop reports and analyses.
A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, HR or equivalent field is required; a master’s degree is highly preferred. At least five years of compensation and/or strategic service consulting is also required; and certification such as Certified Compensation Professional or CPA is a plus.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate proficiency with analytical and communications skills, including technical writing; and Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Excel and Word. Familiarity with statistical software packages is preferred.
The successful applicant will effectively multi-task while working both independently and collaboratively. He/she will use leadership and interpersonal skills to build rapport among colleagues and clients while also managing and delegating tasks, encouraging engagement and exhibiting the capacity to work with professionals at every level.
He or she will also bring knowledge of survey procedure, strategic planning and industry business and financial models.
