Specialty biopharmaceutical business Bristol-Myers Squibb invites qualified candidates to apply for a specialist position as an employee and workforce relations professional for its state-of-the-art Tampa, Florida-based North America Capability Center.
The Capability Center supports the company's mission to achieve consistent excellence and multidisciplinary innovation. The successful candidate will team with the company’s HR business partners, legal experts and compliance leaders to pinpoint employee relations trends; ensure conformity with regulations, and drive solutions from a neutral perspective with utmost confidentiality.
The employee relations (ER) specialist will handle performance management; facilitate conflict resolution; minimize risk and support employee morale; provide training, and confer with leadership on all ER aspects.
Qualified applicants will possess schedule flexibility and demonstrate the capacity to handle multiple tasks. Occasional off-shift time investment may be requested to accommodate different shift schedules; and approximately 10-15 percent of the specialist’s time will be spent on travel in conjunction with regular remote telephone support.
The successful candidate will have sufficient interpersonal skills to relate to colleagues at every level; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; five or more years of HR or ER experience with the bachelor’s degree; or three-plus years of HR or ER experience with a higher degree such as law, HR, ER or labor relations.
A background demonstrating familiarity with ER processes, project management, program design, and fluency in Microsoft Office programs are highly desirable. Bristol-Myers Squibb is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
