Luna Grill in San Diego, California has an opening for a human resources payroll assistant to support day-to-day HR activities including payroll, workers’ compensation, recruiting and employee relations responsibilities in its main office location.
High school graduates are eligible; an associate’s degree is preferable. This position requires a background of three years in HR, including at least one year working with payroll functions; prior experience with worker’s compensation, employee relations and recruitment is desirable.
Applicants should have excellent communications capabilities; computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook; and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially as well as the inclination to deliver the highest standard of customer service.
Qualified candidates will be organized, detail-oriented and adaptable in order to work well in a team atmosphere while maintaining a focus on prioritizing tasks.
The successful candidate will be able to learn new software applications, create reports, and present information clearly. Bilingual applicants are desirable; PHR or other HR Certification is preferred.
