The assistant vice president will assist with talent acquisition, performance management, HR analytics and employment protocol, as well as compensation and benefits.
The successful applicant will become familiar with the Direct Capital unit’s culture, strategies and financial status; support structural changes in cooperation with the HR business partner; analyze HR data, and monitor progress to keep colleagues current.
He or she will work with recruiting staff on job postings, conduct exit interviews and oversee post-employment matters; handle employee inquiries about payroll or benefits, and perform other duties as needed.
A bachelor’s in HR or related field, at least five years of HR experience and a previous record of working with employee relations issues and corporate investigations are required, plus a strong foundation in employment law and corporate benefits.
Outstanding team-building skills — combined with the ability to work both independently and with team members — are essential to the position, along with creativity, insight and resourcefulness. Qualified candidates will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); PHR certification is a plus.
