Swedish Medical device company Getinge, with U.S. headquarters based in New York state, seeks a competent, detail-oriented Total Rewards manager with top interpersonal skills to handle company benefits, compensation, compliance, vendor relationships and personnel matters.
The manager will take responsibility for the administration of the firm’s Total Rewards program as well as benefit packages and payroll. In addition to ensuring optimum internal functioning through the company’s Payroll and HRIS sections, the Human Resources manager will cultivate rapport with external sources such as insurance vendors.
A thorough knowledge of labor law — including current and pending legislative issues — and regulatory filings is necessary. The manager will develop enrollment documents, plan descriptions and similar communications; manage annual reviews and bonus incentives, and oversee audits.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or a similar field; plus five years of progressive benefits experience, and two years of management experience. Familiarity with ADP is desirable; additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality.
A track record of managing in-house benefits is essential; background in the medical device or health care field is a plus, as are certifications such as CCP (Certified Compensation Professional), CBP (Certified Benefits Professional), and/or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist).
