An experienced team player is required by US Foods’ Chicago-area base to serve as a senior program manager, leading software upgrades while meeting timelines and budget needs for the firm’s HR technology operations.
The operations manager will keep eyes on the big picture while tending to all project phases as the lead on the HR department’s Process and Technology Portfolio. Overseeing process design and project plans, he or she will be responsible for staff objectives, working with and communicating across other departments.
Risk analysis and procedural assessment, generation of reports as needed, and resolution of issues as appropriate will be part of the manager’s day-to-day tasks. Outstanding management, delegation and organizational skills are mandatory, as are process design and problem solving.
Excellent communications and presentation skills are a must, along with sound judgment in interpreting policy and the ability to handle time-sensitive information. Applicants should be well versed in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
The senior program manager will collaborate with US Foods’ HR leadership team and other HR areas to pinpoint and implement ways of streamlining processes in accordance with existing strategy and programs.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree plus eight years of experience, including at least three years with large-scale implementation practice; as well as previous background working in HR processes and technology. HR certification and Six Sigma certification are a plus.
