A versatile, energetic HR business partner is sought by Prudential Financial Inc. to join its Newark, New Jersey team in support of two of the firm’s businesses, requiring some travel and much drive and enthusiasm.
Prudential Global Investment Management Businesses serves its clients with diverse investment management and consulting capabilities. The company seeks a human resources manager with prior experience, high motivation and solid judgment to support staff in all HR sectors.
Regular HR tasks for this full-time job will comprise employee relations, policy guidance, talent management, organizational development and restructuring and performance management. The partner will also bridge various divisions via specific programs as well as oversee recruiting, training and compensation procedures.
The position involves some procedural creativity in the form of developing recruiting strategies, identifying exit trends, researching training approaches, creating rewards and action plans and sustaining workforce diversity.
Applicants are expected to bring three to five years of HR generalist background with a foundation in all key HR areas. The ability to work independently, manage time and prioritize tasks will support the partner’s proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office tools. Detail-oriented, innovative candidates with keen judgment, conceptual abilities and communications skills are preferred; experience with investment business is a plus.
