Baxter Credit Union in Vernon Hills, Illinois needs a full-time HR representative to work in its lending department, assisting with internal operations, ensuring compliance, and acting as a trustworthy adviser to staff and management.
The successful candidate will support employee relations, recruitment and policy application on a daily basis, serving as a source of information for BCU’s benefits packages, HR regulations, and data compliance.
The representative will act as first point of contact for employee matters; maintain website updates; prepare and present audits and personnel documents, and offer recommendations as appropriate. He or she will oversee the FMLA/STD/Workers Compensation procedure, company health and wellness incentives, and new hire orientation.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; and an additional one to three years in an HR position. Measurable success in customer service, conflict resolution, coaching and clear communication is necessary, along with the ability to prioritize and highly developed organizational skills.
Candidates should be able to focus well within a fast-paced work environment and be capable of adapting to interruptions. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Office and PowerPoint is expected; Experience with PeopleSoft or similar HRIS systems and SHRM-CP/SCP is preferred.
