Central Connecticut Coast YMCA, located in New Haven, is looking for a director of leadership development and human resources.
Duties of the position include developing job descriptions, coordinating recruitment efforts, implementing initiatives to obtain a more diverse and inclusive work force, developing and implementing a technology-based orientation program for new employees, monitoring training and certification programs, administering compensation and benefits programs, monitoring performance evaluation systems, developing and managing a budget, overseeing the administration of the company's new personnel and payroll management program, and dealing with employee relations issues.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor's degree, at least five years of leadership experience in the leadership development and HR management field, experience with HR management systems, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of HR management-related laws, regulations, practices, and industry trends.
Preferred qualifications include experience with system conversions, YMCA Organizational Leader certification and certification by the Society for Human Resource Management.
