Thresholds, which provides recovery services for individuals with mental illnesses and substance use orders in Illinois, is looking for an employee relations specialist.
The person in this full-time position will be responsible for advising on employee relations matters, coaching managers on how to build high performance teams, conducting exit interviews, coordinating unemployment claims and processes, conducting investigations into alleged violations of policies, analyzing employee engagement and employee relations metrics, assessing employment-related risk, assisting employees who have work-related concerns, and working on projects related to talent management and employee relations.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in HR or related field; at least four years employee relations experience; strong communication, interpersonal, technical, planning and execution skills; the ability to effectively handle competing priorities; and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, as well as state and federal employment laws and regulations.
Preferred qualifications include PHR, SPHR and/or coaching management certification.
