Requirements include a PHR and four to six years of generalist background with a focus on compliance activities: experience in updating employee handbooks and researching compensation analysis and similar areas is necessary. Prior recruiting experience utilizing LinkedIn is needed, as well as proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ADP. Candidates must be especially comfortable with writing policies.
The HR generalist will manage job description upkeep as he or she handles recruitment and hiring on an ongoing basis; assists with observing metrics and reporting trends; and establishes and implements policy and procedures for personnel, including an employee handbook.
Familiarity with federal, state and local employment laws is required. The generalist will communicate with individuals regarding policy inquiries; convey procedural changes company-wide; and assist with statistical and EEOC reporting. He or she will conduct in-house harassment compliance training, create initiatives to motivate employee engagement and encourage new ways to ensure continuous operational improvements.
