CNA Insurance seeks an HR associate with previous experience to perform a variety of functions under broad supervision at the company’s Chicago headquarters — including programs, projects and recruitment as well as important administrative support.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus at least one year of HR experience are required. Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills as well as problem solving and conflict resolution capabilities are a must. The associate must be at ease communicating with personnel at all levels.
Applicants should be familiar with Microsoft Office programs and standard business software and are expected to possess aptitude in data reporting. The ability to analyze HR information, interpret organizational data and policies, and maintain confidentiality is also a given for applicants.
The successful candidate will perform duties related to recruiting, orientation, and maintenance of talent, working directly with business leaders to provide HR generalist support. He/she will regularly convey information to staff regarding performance oversight, compensation and employee relations; research and evaluate data for reports, and handle special projects as needed.
The associate also may be called upon to make recommendations to existing practices and/or provide training programs.
