The City of Dallas needs a full-time senior human resources analyst with competency in oral and written communications skills and software; and effective goal setting and management abilities, to work in its downtown office.
Applicants are expected to have a bachelor’s degree in HR, business, public administration or a social science field as well as four years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: employee relations; recruitment; job analysis and job classification development; employee development; education/employment test validation/development; risk management; compensation, or benefits.
This position offers a $44,309-$65,445 annual starting salary. Human resources certification is especially desirable as well as experience in civil service work and/or as a human resources generalist, with background in employee relations, organizational development, training and investigations.
Certain equivalencies will be considered valid preparation for this job. A high school diploma or GED plus eight years of experience can substitute for a college degree plus four years’ experience; or an associate’s degree plus six years of experience.
Likewise, a bachelor’s degree or higher in a non-related field plus six years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree or higher plus two years of experience, will be considered adequate background.
The ideal candidate will be able to perform MS Word/Excel functions, set goals, implement protocols, and evaluate program activities and costs. Additionally, he or she will be capable of making presentations and incorporating local personnel and/or civil service regulations for the City of Dallas.
