Chicago Public Schools is looking for a human resources business partner.
Among the duties of the position include managing internal and external job postings, using sourcing techniques to drive candidate flow and fill vacancies, providing additional screening of potential employees, processing visa applications and renewals for newly hired employees and current staff members, training staff on HR systems, developing and implementing compensation programs, auditing compensation data, advising on staff performance evaluations and processes, resolving employee relations issues, managing the layoff process, and providing HR generalist support.
Prospective applicants must possess a bachelor's degree; at least four years of HR experience; strong communication, organizational, analytical and project management skills; the ability to handle confidential information; and knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP certifications, and knowledge of Taleo Recruiting System and PeopleSoft HRMS.
