Practicing attorney and one-time varsity softball player Felicity Hanks was recently selected to join the Bensalem Township, Pennsylvania school system’s board of directors to lead its Human Resources department, the district announced on its website.
With a bachelor’s degree in economics from Brandeis University and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Law, the new HR leader played NCAA Division III women’s softball. She spent the last four years with Hill Wallack LLP as an attorney focusing on labor and employment matters.
“It is an honor to be appointed as HR director … I look forward to working with the School Board, administration and staff to meet the goals of the School District,” Hanks said. “I have had the privilege of being involved in the Bensalem community through my work with the YWCA Bucks County and with the Bensalem High School mock trial program, and am continually impressed with everyone I have met through those endeavors. I am excited to join the Bensalem School District team and to have the opportunity to expand my relationships with Bensalem educators, residents and students.”
Hanks brings broad experience working among HR professionals and school district personnel, with practice in hiring, leave, regulatory compliance and more.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Ms. Hanks to our administrative team,” spokespersons said.
