Leadership, drive, curiosity and energy are welcome qualities for an experienced HR professional who wishes to join Uber, now offering a position with perks, full benefits and plenty of potential in the greater Chicago area.
Uber views the right person for this position as a consultant and coach — a “driver” to help promote growth of its “bold and disruptive brand.” The successful applicant will demonstrate flexibility, initiative and the ability to flourish with Uber’s team approach to problem solving.
In addition to supporting Uber’s teams on the ground, the HR partner will collaborate with personnel on all human resources procedures, consult with management, steer workforce planning and policy and demonstrate knowledge of the business. Additionally, he or she will identify training needs, staying current with legal knowledge and daily operational applications and teaming with the company’s legal department as needed.
Determination, superior communications skills and integrity, proven partnership skills and strong organizational abilities will be a cornerstone of the right candidate’s job ethic. Benefits include full medical, dental and vision; 401(k); paid holidays; a liberal vacation policy, and wellness incentives.
A bachelor’s degree and minimum of eight years in HR business partner experience, fluency with standard HR programs for compensation, performance management and leadership development, and employment law awareness are essential. A master’s degree is preferred.
