Lowe's is looking for a full-time human resources generalist in Rockford, Illinois.

Duties of the position include reviewing applications of potential employees, conducting interviews, conducting orientation classes for new employees, processing employee benefits, managing workers compensation claims, maintaining medical leaves, tracking performance reviews, responding to employee relations issues, processing corrective actions, updating payroll processes, and being involved in building safety initiatives.

Prospective candidates must possess at least three years of HR generalist experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong communication and time management skills; and knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.

Applicants should be able to work independently and handle confidential information.

Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in HR or other related field, experience in distribution or manufacturing environment with a large employee base, and PHR or SPHR certification.
