Human resources professionals with a bachelor’s degree and three years of experience are invited to apply for a full-time HR analyst position with the Maricopa County, Arizona Assessor’s Department.
Responsibilities include providing analysis and recommendations to the Assessor’s office under the direction of the HR manager, with oversight of internal client divisions. Tasks involve staffing, development, employee relations, compensation, and guidance to both management and staff. Additionally, various projects and other duties may be assigned.
In addition to a bachelor’s degree and previous related experience, candidates should bring a functional knowledge of HR skills such as recruiting, training and benefits administration; HR analytics; and leadership and interpersonal skills. Computer and organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
The HR analyst is expected to work with the HR team to provide staffing, staff relations resolution, advice, training support, and finding solutions for compensation and benefits matters. He or she will strive for quality talent selection and coach others to maximize strengths and develop a positive work environment, as well as access and interpret HR and database information — preparing communications, organizing meetings and facilitating discussions.
The ideal candidate will possess curiosity, analytical thinking and adaptability. A master’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field is highly preferred, along with demonstrated problem solving and development work. Salary range is $22.61-$35.24 per hour based on experience.
