Dexterity and diplomacy are desired at the W Austin, a Starwood Hotel in the heart of downtown Austin, Texas, now seeking a Human Resources coordinator to manage employee benefits, promote safety and manage workers’ compensation.
A high school diploma or equivalent, excellent verbal and written language skills, and basic computer aptitude are needed, along with the ability to interpret numerical data and familiarity with equal opportunity and civil rights regulations and knowledge of labor laws. A bachelor’s degree is a plus.
Additionally, applicants should have one to two years of HR related experience, with hotel work preferred. The position involves mostly indoor work; candidates will sit approximately eight hours daily, with some walking and standing and light (15 pounds) lifting. Manual dexterity is needed for operating office equipment.
