Eastern Carver County Schools is seeking a human resources specialist for its District Education Center in Chaska, Minnesota.
The specialist would support various human resources functions for the district, in addition to staffing support and reporting and tracking human resources data.
Applicants should have a two-year post-secondary degree -- though a four-year college degree is preferred -- and three years of professional experience related to the position’s responsibilities. Candidates should be prepared to undergo a criminal background check.
The human resources specialist will serve as the first point of contact on exempt staff questions and will manage FMLA, general, child care and unrequested leaves. He or she will also prepare contracts for district employees and create and update job descriptions. The successful candidate will have staffing responsibilities including processing resignations, job changes and retirement and providing leadership in staff recruitment and retention. The human resources specialist will also prepare the district’s personnel report for school board meetings and maintain lists of important figures for the district, such as retired personnel.
The position carries a salary of $55,309 per year, with 260 working days. The successful candidate will begin work in May.
