HealthSouth is hiring a human resources coordinator to work in Shenandoah, Texas, to be responsible for assisting in human resources function administration.
The position is open to candidates with a bachelor’s degree in personnel administration, hospital administration, business administration or a related field, or with an equivalent time working professionally. Those with PHR and SPHR certifications are preferred.
Candidates should have one to three years of experience in human resources, and those with experience in a healthcare setting are preferred. Applicants should be familiar with Excel, Word, Publisher and PowerPoint as well as typical office equipment.
The human resources coordinator will work under the director of human resources and will be responsible for assisting in, among other functions, staff recruitment and retention, benefits administration including overseeing the FMLA process, staff orientation, workers’ compensation and policy administration. The successful applicant will assist with special human resources project, potentially serving as project coordinator, and assists in departmental activities to ensure federal, state and Joint Commission survey preparedness.
He or she should have excellent organizational skills, strong written and verbal communications skill, the ability to work under stress and the ability to maintain confidentiality in dealing with employee information.
