The City of Ontario in Southern California is looking for a full-time human resources analyst.
Duties of the position include conducting classification studies, analyzing recruitment methods, coordinating benefits information for new employees, assisting with the annual benefit open enrollment process, informing staff of HR policies and procedures, assisting with the administration of the employee benefits program, coordinating citywide training programs, conducting salary and benefit surveys, ensuring the effective implementation of leave of absence policies, conducting investigations of grievances and discrimination complaints, and assisting with administrative studies.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR management, business administration, public administration or related field; three years of experience in a HR related field; and a valid California Class C driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Previous HR experience within a public sector environment or unionized environment is preferred.
