Laurence School, an independent kindergarten through sixth-grade school in Valley Glen, California, is looking for a human resources and operations coordinator.
Duties of the full-time position include identifying the school's HR needs, preparing job descriptions, assisting with recruitment procedures, overseeing onboarding and orientation for new employees, performing exit interviews and handling the employee separation process, ensuring the timely communication of employee benefits information, facilitating staff development and training opportunities, providing guidance on HR-related topics, analyzing HR data, managing relationships with outside vendors chosen for daily school operations, overseeing school administrative systems and procedures, renewing employee contracts, and ensuring compliance with employment related laws.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in HR or related field, SHRM or HRCI or equivalent certification, at least five years of HR experience, at least three years in customer support and administrative services, at least three years of supervisory experience, basic computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, and experience developing an HRIS for a staff of at least 75 people.
Applicants must also have working knowledge of school operations, HR and relevant employment related laws.
