Tri-County Health Care in Wadena, Minnesota, is seeking a full-time human resources generalist with three to five years of HR experience in a health care environment.
Candidates for this position should have a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or another related field in addition to on-the-job experience, though those with an equivalent educational and professional history are invited to apply.
The position requires thorough understanding of employment law and practice, excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively work with those at all levels of the Tri-County Health staff as well as external vendors. Applicants should possess strong customer service, organizational and interpersonal and coaching skills. The position can entail sensitive and confidential situations and requires proactive, independent work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for administering human resources plans and procedures across Tri-County Health Care’s organization and helping to develop department goals, objectives and systems, including personnel policies and procedures. He or she will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining the employee handbook and participating in employee onboarding.
The position also entails administering leave programs, performing benefits administration and ensuring compliance with governmental employment regulations.
