Newark Public Schools is seeking a recruitment coordinator within its office of talent development.
Among the responsibilities of the full-time coordinator will be screening potential employees, conducting reference checks, scheduling interviews, supporting the selection process of educator and leadership candidates, dealing with recruitment issues, supporting the onboarding process for new employees, maintaining accurate vacancy data, and preparing recruitment reports.
The prospective recruitment coordinator must possess at least three years of professional experience working in a large, urban school district or other educational setting; proficiency with Microsoft Office; communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills; familiarity with HRIS technologies; and a commitment to enhance the effectiveness of the schools' workforce.
Applicants should be able to multi-task and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
A college degree is preferred.
