The State of Illinois is seeking a human resources representative to provide services related to the state’s web-based electronic hiring system at the Central Management Services center in Springfield.
The full-time position requires education and skill development equivalent to four years of college and one year of professional experience. It offers a salary between $4,159 and $6,218, depending on experience.
Applicants with experience in human resources are preferred, and the position requires strong communication skills enabling articulation of human resources information to those unfamiliar with the state’s personal system. Candidates should be proficient in computer systems and software and able to direct others in their use. Those applying for the human resources representative position should have working knowledge of the Illinois state government and its Personnel Code, Rules, Position Classification Plan, Pay Plan and Collective Bargaining Contracts.
The position entails helping candidates for state positions throughout the application process, providing one-on-one guidance and assistance. The successful applicant will also perform front desk duties and test room duties. The human resources representative will work under the direction of the Springfield Assessment Center Manager.
