A shakeup of executive-level staff at General Dynamics Corp. has landed Kimberly Kuryea in the position of senior vice president for human resources and administration.
Kuryea will replace M. Amy Gilliland, newly named as the company’s deputy of operations, according to a recent press release. The statement also indicated Kuryea’s former position as vice president and controller will be filled by William Moss, ex-staff vice president of internal audit.
During her 17-year tenure with General Dynamics, Kuryea progressed from director of financial planning and analysis to vice president, controller and corporate officer six years ago. A veteran of Arthur Anderson, Kuryea earned an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from Duke University.
"Amy Gilliland, Kim Kuryea and Bill Moss bring a wealth of diverse experience to their new positions," Phebe Novakovic, chairman and CEO, said in the press release. "They will each continue to serve as key members of our leadership team in their new assignments."
General Dynamics, a Falls Church, Virginia-based defense contractor for the U.S. government, was ranked No. 88 on the Fortune 500 as of June 2016.
