Good Samaritan Society seeks a full-time human resources director at its Betty Dare Nursing Home in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
Duties of the position include recruiting employees, coordinating the employee selection process, conducting new employee orientation, maintaining employee records, assisting with exit interviews, tracking employee turnover and retention rates, assisting with employee relations events, coordinating workers compensation claims, monitoring leaves of absence, developing objectives for the affirmative action plan, and dealing with employee concerns.
Prospective candidates must possess a college degree in HR-related field and/or two to three years of HR-related experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred qualifications include PHR or SPHR certification, and knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
