DePaul University seeks a human resources specialist to work as part of its HR central team on its Loop campus in Chicago.
Duties of the full-time position include processing employee transactions, maintaining HR personnel records, verifying employment requests, troubleshooting paperwork irregularities, auditing files, managing the storage and retrieval system, resolving processing issues, and becoming a subject matter expert of HR core records.
Prospective candidates must possess at least one year of HR or related experience, strong communication skills, solid Microsoft Office skills, and a strong customer service orientation.
Applicants should be able to work independently and as a team member, work in an environment with strict deadlines, handle confidential information, travel between campuses, and work some evenings or weekends if needed.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Form I-9 compliance.
