Wawanesa Insurance, which offers automobile and residential insurance, is looking for a human resources client manager in San Diego, California.
Duties of the position include leading a team of HR professionals, ensuring the best practices are being followed to recruit new employees, mentoring on approaches to employee retention and engagement, facilitating education and employee development activities, providing guidance on performance management activities, recommending compensation management, leading change management activities, and reporting on HR metrics.
Prospective candidates must possess a degree in HR or business administration; seven years of progressive HR experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office, Human Resources Management Systems and applicant tracking systems; strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills; and advanced knowledge of human rights legislation and local employment standards.
Applicants should be able to work both independently and as a team player.
Preferred qualifications include CHRP/SPHR designation.
