The Shelby County government is looking to hire a human resources coordinator in Memphis, Tennessee.
The full-time HR coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and supervising daily staff activities, training employees, paying invoices for background checks and drug screenings, ensuring employment related software is up-to-date and operating properly, making recommendations on process and procedural changes, keeping a record of maintenance and service cycles of HR office equipment, and handling complaints.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, management or closely related field, three years of experience working in a HR employment administrative capacity, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training. They must also have a valid Tennessee driver's license, access to an operable automobile.
Applicants should be able to travel to other government site locations; have strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and knowledge of financial, organization, purchasing and personnel management techniques, as well as the concepts, methodology and principles of Shelby County programs and practices.
