The Coast Community College District, which includes three colleges in Southern California, is seeking a full-time human resources specialist.
The specialist will be responsible for hiring employees, conducting orientation for new employees, initiating onboarding processes, maintaining employee records, providing employees with information about benefits and compensation, conducting exit interviews, processing HR forms, auditing employment-related data, preparing reports, communicating with other departments on various HR issues, performing HR-related studies, and providing technical assistance to HR staff.
Prospective candidates must possess an associate's degree or equivalent, three years of clerical and technical experience in the HR field, or a combination of education and experience; strong communication and interpersonal skills; and knowledge of HR administration and employee relations practices, laws and regulations, and modern office practices and equipment.
Applicants should be able to work independently with little supervision, meet schedules and timelines, navigate intermediate to advanced technical software, and handle confidential information.
