The Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts is seeking a full-time human resources coordinator.
The HR coordinator will be responsible for supporting the administrative steps of the hiring process, maintaining employee files, drafting and filing employee status change letters, processing payments and reimbursements, supporting the coordination of employee leaves of absence, assisting with the annual salary increase process, working with staff to plan employee events and recognition programs, coordinating meetings and trainings, handling data requests, and performing general HR office duties.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience; at least three years of experience in office administration; strong organizational and customer service skills; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of PeopleSoft HR software applications; and an aptitude to learn new software applications.
Applicants should be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines, and handle confidential information.
Preferred qualifications include prior Harvard experience, experience working in a HR department, and knowledge of state and federal laws as they relate to benefit programs.
