Supply chain operator Geodis is seeking a human resources coordinator in the Chicago area.
The full-time HR coordinator will be tasked with processing employment applications, submitting requests for background checks, assisting with new employee orientation, ensuring the completion of new hire paperwork, creating new employee files, ensuring the HR database remains up-to-date, assisting with workers compensation issues, completing information requests for unemployment benefit filings, assisting vendors with unemployment claims, coding invoices, paying employee referral bonuses and providing back-up phone support.
Prospective candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency, six months to one year related experience and/or training, experience using Microsoft Office, and the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Applicants should also be able to write reports, present information and respond to questions, and solve practical problems.
