Gustavus Adolphus College is looking to hire a benefits specialist within its human resources department in St. Peter, Minnesota.
The full-time benefits specialist will be tasked with administering employee benefits programs, supervising the maintenance of benefit plans enrollment and claim records, informing employees of new plans and plan changes, developing specifications for new plans or existing plans in order to ensure the college maintains its competitive labor market position, making premium cost share recommendations, assisting employees with benefit claim issues, and preparing benefit agreements and insurance policies.
Prospective candidates must posses a bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR, business or related field, organizational skills and the ability to provide accurate results in a given amount of time. Preferred qualifications include more than three years of experience in HR or related field, and SHRM certification.
