InvenTrust Properties Corp., a self-managed real estate investment trust, is looking for a payroll and benefits specialist to work at its corporate offices in Oak Brook, Illinois.
The position is open to those with an associate degree in business, accounting or a related field and two to five years of experience working in a payroll and benefits administration capacity. As such, candidates should be familiar with HRIS; Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; benefits processes; payroll practices; compliance considerations; and other basic human resources processes.
Those with experience using Paycom software are preferred, as are those with certifications including Certified Payroll Professional, Professional in Human Resources, SHRM-Certified Professional.
The payroll and benefits specialist will be a part of the human resources team and generally support the company’s employee engagement efforts and performance based culture. Specifically, the successful candidate will be responsible for administering payroll related functions, including time and attendance, payroll exceptions, expense reimbursement, and 401(k) contribution changes, as well as benefit programs, including partnering with InvenTrust’s third-party payroll and benefits processor Paycom.
He or she will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with payroll tax laws and maintaining payroll best practices.
