Waterstone Mortgage in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, is accepting applications for a payroll and benefits specialist who would be responsible for running the company’s bi-weekly payroll process and communicating and administering the benefit programs.
The position is open to candidates with an associate’s degree or higher in human resources administration or a related specialty.
Specific job responsibilities for the successful candidate will include managing the payroll process, including processing garnishments, insurance and 401(k) deductions, and overseeing Waterstone’s web-based time and attendance system. On the payroll side, the specialist is also responsible for ensuring that any payroll changes are valid and lawful and undergo the appropriate approvals process, creating reports as requested and ensuring and that the human resources information systems records are properly maintained.
Under the benefits side of the role, the successful applicant will work with Waterstone Bank’s benefits planning team in the design and implementation of annual programs, ensure new team members understand the benefit programs and update the employee census, including submitting enrollments and termination documents. She or he will also be responsible for maintaining employee benefit records and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
