KPMG Global Chairman John Veihmeyer will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Diversity + Flexibility = An Evolving Culture conference.
The conference will be on March 16 in Washington, D.C., according to a recent release from conference organizer Diversity & Flexibility Alliance.
"Our annual conference brings together professionals from the legal, corporate, financial and consulting industries who share advice on flexibility and diversity initiatives," Diversity & Flexibility Alliance President & CEO Manar Morales said in a release. "We are proud to welcome John Veihmeyer and other leaders who are trendsetters in diversity and flexibility and are integral to this evolution of cultural change in the workplace."
The one-day conference will also include talks from Verizon, Booz Allen Hamilton, Walmart and Morgan Stanley executives, as well as representatives from prominent law firms. Additionally, Lauren Rivera, an associate professor at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management will lead an interactive session. Rivera, author of "Pedigree: How Elite Students Get Elite Jobs," will focus on how economic, generational, gender and racial biases affect the recruitment process.
The conference will also present the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance awards. Its 2017 Flex Impact Award goes to Hogan Lovells US LLP; Flex Leader Award to Booz Allen Hamilton Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer and Secretary Nancy Laben; and Flex Success Awards to law firm partners and their clients who have demonstrated successful reduced hour schedules.
