The Washington Post is seeking a benefits specialist in Washington, D.C., to overhaul employee sick leave, Family and Medical Leave Act benefits and workers' compensation practices.
The ideal candidate will be hands on, have experience with disability leave and be willing to resolve issues and streamline procedures. Significant contact throughout the company, from the C-suite to other employees, is required.
The primary responsibilities of this role include overseeing workers' compensation and disability and other forms of time off. Keeping accurate pay records is a must in order to monitor wages while workers are on leave.
Key requirements include a college degree in a related field and five or more years of experience with employee leave claims and administration.
