Family entertainment network INSP is seeking a director of benefits in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The director will be in charge of duties related to the organization's health and welfare benefits programs. This person will be responsible for administering benefits, overseeing the maintenance of employee benefit records, ensuring programs comply with benefits administration regulations, managing annual open enrollment, ensuring timely and accurate benefit programs administration, updating employee payroll records with regards to benefit deductions, resolving work-related problems and enforcing corporate employment policies.
Prospective candidates must posses a bachelor's degree, have at least eight years of experience in employee benefits or related field, be proficient in Microsoft Office, have conflict resolution experience and strong communication and organization skills.
Applicants should be able to effectively manage and prioritize complex projects, work both independently and as a team member, and exercise discretion when handling confidential information. They should also have a knowledge of health and welfare plans, as well as benefit administration regulations such as Affordable Care Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, COBRA health insurance law, Employee Retirement Income Security Act, Family and Medical Leave Act and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
Preferred qualifications include a degree in human resources, accounting, IT or business; Professional in Human Resources/Senior Professional in Human Resources or Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)-Certified Professional/SHRM-Senior Certified Professional certifications; and Certified Employee Benefit Specialist certification.
