Crowne Consulting Group, based on Ocoee, Florida, will promote American Heart Month throughout February by highlighting the benefits of patient-focused care at on-site facilities.
“On-site care is optimized when coupled with personalized initiatives including health-risk assessments, incentive programs and work site health coaches to help individuals maintain a healthy lifestyle through physical activity, nutrition, and disease prevention,” Crowne Consulting Group President Ray Tomlinson said.
Crowne Consulting highlighted its work with the District School Board of Pasco County, which provides on-site care for over 10,000 plan members. Those members, including employees, dependents and retirees, can access primary and chronic care, screenings, lab work, generic prescriptions and wellness programs at on-site and near-site facilities.
The on-site facilities have saved the district money, with $26 million in health and medication expenditure savings for the district and more than $4 million in savings for employees, who spend less on co-pays and medications.
The program has won awards from the American Heart Association for promoting a healthy workplace.
“In addition to lowering expenses, employers with on-site or near-site care centers are promoting heart health and demonstrating measurable outcomes in employee care,” Tomlinson said.
