Jewish Home of San Francisco, which specializes in providing care, services and programs for seniors, is looking to hire a benefits administrator.
The person in this full-time position will manage open enrollment, conduct dependent and beneficiary audits, consult with staff about insurance issues, reconcile monthly benefit invoices, act as a liaison with broker and benefits TPA representatives, lead employee assistance programs and keep the HRIS system up to date with benefit enrollments and changes.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor's degree; two years of benefits administration experience; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; fluency in HRIS systems; and strong communication skills.
Applicants should be able to multi-task, objectively handle difficult insurance issues, work independently and as a team player, work effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions, research and analyze various types of information, and maintain a high level of confidentiality. They should also be knowledgeable about group health insurance, as well as federal, state and city benefit mandates.
Preferred qualifications include a HR or business degree, and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist certification.
