Wedgwood Christian Services is looking for a part-time human resources benefits specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The responsibilities of this position include assisting with employee benefit programs, ensuring employee issues are resolved in timely manner, providing backup with payroll, processing changes to employee benefit enrollment records, following up on employee injury care, assisting with employee wellness events, overseeing the employee resignation process from the benefit side and processing student loan deferment and cancellation forms.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, at least one year of HR employee benefits experience, strong communication and time management skills and intermediate skills with Microsoft Word and Excel. They should also be detail-orientated, organized and be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Applicants who have a Bachelor's degree and prior experience with an insurance company or broker are preferred.
Hourly pay for this position is $16.50 to $21, commensurate with experience.
