Daniel DeWitt, formerly of Shields Meneley Partners, recently joined Telephone Data Systems (TDS) as senior vice president of human resources.
He will report to TDS President and CEO LeRoy Carlson Jr.
"It's clear that with Dan's background and exceptional understanding of corporate culture, leadership ability, integrity and problem solving skills will enable him to do an outstanding job in this important and challenging position," Carlson said. "I'm confident Dan will work to assure that TDS has an environment that fosters accomplishment and accountability, reduces turnover, and values inclusion and the diversity of ideas and approaches."
Prior to Shield Meneley Partners, where he served as executive psychologist, DeWitt ran his own consulting company and was vice president of human resources at HotSamba, an internet startup. He takes over the role of senior vice president of human resources from C. Theodore Herbert, after his retirement from three decades of service at TDS.
"In his more than 30 years of service, Ted's leadership and guidance have helped shape policies and programs that focused on enhancing TDS high-performing work culture," Carlson said. "I thank him for his service and commitment to our company's success and wish him the best in retirement."
