Walmart is looking to hire a market human resources manager at its Shelby Township, Michigan, location.
The full-time, salaried position requires overseeing the company's HR practices, making sure recruiting efforts fall in line with business needs, executing HR business plans on the regional level, providing full-cycle talent acquisition for critical positions in the business unit, and driving associate engagement. The market HR manager is also responsible for ensuring that company policies and procedures comply with laws and regulations on the local, state and federal level.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in a HR-related field, such as HR management, HR development, labor relations or business administration. They should have three years of experience as either a human resources generalist or specialist supporting a multi-unit/multi-business environment, at least six years in the HR field with at least two years as an HR generalist, or at least two years in a Walmart manager-level role.
Preferred qualifications include a master's degree or higher in an HR-related field, HR professional certification, and two years of experience in retail, service, hospitality or a related field.
