Walmart is hiring a market human resources manager at its Rockford, Illinois location.
The full-time salaried position will entail overseeing the company's HR initiatives, making sure business needs are being met, building and maintaining partnerships with business leaders, driving associate engagement and providing full-cycle talent management for critical positions with the business unit. The market HR manager is also responsible for ensuring that company polices and procedures comply with laws and regulations on federal, state and local levels.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in a field related to human resources, business administration, labor relations, organizational development or industrial organization psychology. Their level of experience should fall into one of following three categories: three years as either a human resources generalist or specialist supporting a multi-unit/multi-business environment; six years in the HR field with at least two years as a HR generalist; or two years in a Walmart manager-level role.
Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in a HR-related field such as industrial relations, and two years of experience in retail, service, hospitality or a related field.
