Disney Studios recently announced that it is seeking a manager of HR Programs & Services who also will serve as liaison between Disney and Lucasfilm.
The position, which is based in San Francisco, requires a deep understanding of the Disney business lines on a global scale. The right candidate will be expected to come up with creative solutions to human resources and operations issues while working in partnership with leadership. In addition, the candidate will mentor and motivate an HR specialist team while managing all HR functions.
Disney is seeking a proactive self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills who follows through on projects. The ideal candidate should be able to interpret and communicate policies and procedures to the diverse Disney community, as well as evaluate and troubleshoot urgent and day-to-day issues.
The position requires the ability to multitask using effective time management and manage sensitive and confidential issues.
Among the preferred qualifications is five to seven years of experience in an HR role, including two to three years with direct reports. The Disney position will require three direct reports. Experience in global mobility or benefits, a production environment, report writing and SAP is a plus. Applicants should also be fluent in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Qualified candidates need to possess at least a bachelor's degree in an HR-related field.
